Selena Serafine, the artist behind the ‘Fable Peaches’ brand, has faced her fair share of unique challenges, yet her boundless creativity and infectious positivity shine through in every doodle she doods. Selena was born with Mosaic Down Syndrome, a rare chromosomal condition, as well as Autism, giving her a truly one-of-a-kind perspective on the world.

Selena Serafine, the artist behind the ‘Fable Peaches’ brand, has faced her fair share of unique challenges, yet her boundless creativity and infectious positivity shine through in every doodle she doods. Selena was born with Mosaic Down Syndrome, a rare chromosomal condition, as well as Autism, giving her a truly one-of-a-kind perspective on the world. Autism also has helped her find like minded friends with the same diabilities, and allows her to have fun with her interests. From Sonic, Tokusatsu all the way to Thomas the Tank Engine.However, rather than letting these diagnoses limit her, Selena has embraced them as integral parts of her identity, including her bear-loved character and mascot, "Patches the Bear," with meaningful symbolism. The ribbons Patches' overalls represent Autism and Mosaic. A visual reminder that differences should be flaunted and not hidden from others, "Be your beary best!" as Patches would say.
Through tough 'Patches', Selena invites others to see the world through her brown button eyes - a realm brimming with fighters from the streets, bears training with old men, masked riders on large bikes and even chasing the stars with a blue hedgehog to express oneself to her best ability.Despite the challenges she has faced, Selena's passion for art and meeting new friends has only grown stronger, leading her to sell at over 20 events across the United States where she proudly shares her unique niches. Patches and Selena always welcome you to do your best and represent your true self. Become your bear-y best, Henshin!
